About Blossomville

A beautiful little town, in flowers

Blossomville means “a beautiful little town” — and that is exactly what we are building: a Toronto online gift shop gathering beautiful things in one place. Crochet flower bouquets are our first love, alongside thoughtful gifts and jewelry.

Every bouquet is designed and hand-arranged in Toronto, and crochet blooms never wilt — no water, no fading, just colour that stays. A Blossomville bouquet is a gift that keeps on being a gift, long after fresh flowers would have been thrown away.

A bouquet for the Mayor

September 10, 2026 — The Kickoff Bouquet

The original purple Olivia Bouquet held at Olivia Chow's campaign launch

On the evening of September 10, Olivia Chow launched her re-election campaign — and we were there with a bouquet made for her. Purple is her signature colour, so we designed the whole bouquet around it: crochet lilies and roses in deep violet and lavender, blooms that would never wilt or fade. When she stepped onto the stage, our bouquet was beside her. Then she lifted it high above her head for the whole room to see — sunflowers, lavender ribbons and all. It is the bouquet in this photo, and it has had a name ever since: The Olivia Bouquet.

October 26, 2026 — The Victory Bouquet

Some bouquets are made for a shelf. This one was made for a moment. On election night, October 26, 2026, Toronto voted — and as the results turned and the room erupted, our second purple bouquet arrived: a sister to the launch-night bouquet, in the same violet and lavender, crowned with smiling sunflowers and finished with a train of tulle that trailed behind it like a celebration that refused to end.

The Victory Bouquet by the lake, with the Toronto skyline and CN Tower behind it

Before the night began, we took her down to the lake and photographed her against the skyline — the CN Tower behind her, the city she was made for spread out in the sun. Then she went into the hall, and into the Mayor's hands.

The Victory Bouquet beside the Jack Layton statue on election night

Earlier that evening, around seven o'clock, the flowers had already made one stop. By the ferry docks stands a bronze statue of Jack Layton — the Mayor's late husband — still riding his tandem bicycle. Our family dressed him for the big night: a cap on his head, a Canadian flag across the bike, and a small bouquet of his own tucked into his hand. And when the night turned to victory, the big purple bouquet stood beside him — so that, in his own way, he was there to see her win.

Both bouquets were gifts from our family business to mark the moments — shared here as part of our story.
